Hate to say, but I think this was my least favorite of the Vlad books. I really liked the series, but didnt care for this book as much as previous books. I thought the stuff with his dad was great (and disturbing), but I was very lukewarm about the Snow stuff--and I detested the ending with her.**SPOILERS**: (view spoiler)[I would have liked more with Meredith--her being given a chance with the truth, etc. The Snow relationship has always seemed VERY tainted and rather forced to me--made me gag

What a great way to end the series. My heart broke a little, but it was a fantastic story. I loved watching Vladimir grow up and find his way through life's challenges.

At the end of Heather Brewer's Eleventh Grade Burns , Vlad has beaten up his sometimes-friend and wannabe vampire Slayer Joss, and seen what appears to be his father. The Keeper of the Prophecy about Vlad's status as Pravus, the "one to rule them all" if you will, is also dead, and Vlad has drunk his blood. Characters: Vladimir Tod, the main character, is half vampire and half human and he struggles a lot with the fact that he does not fit perfectly into both worlds. His parents die in a house fire when he is very young and he blames himself for that. He is a very nice, smart and caring boy. My only complaint about him was the fact that, to me, he didn't seem like he was 18 in this book. I had a really hard time picturing him and his friends as seniors in high school and had to keep reminding

The wait for this book was absolutely nerve racking and it was even worse since I desperately wanted to know what happened next after the last book ended in the worst ever cliff hanger. But with this final book- and the way it ended I honestly don't see how it can be the final book- was worth the wait. I absolutely loved it.
