Representaion Toward Books Going Under (Going Under #1)

Jesse Boone is a self-proclaimed bad boy and doesn’t march to the beat of anyone’s drum but his own. Growing up in less than desirable circumstances has made him no stranger to the hard knock life but his determination to leave it behind is fervent. He sees an opportunity to snag a college football scholarship when he’s transferred to East Franklin High School but Forbes Henderson has other plans. The player Jesse intends to replace doesn’t plan on giving up his spot as starting quarterback so a rivalry is born. Jesse is determined to show his nemesis that he’s not only going to take his position as first string quarterback, he’s going to take his girl, too.

Claire Deveraux is perfection at its best. She’s beautiful, intelligent, and unaware she just became Jesse Boone’s conquest to settle a score with her boyfriend. Like her flawless performance as the perfect daughter and student, Claire’s production of being the perfect girlfriend has everyone fooled, except Jesse Boone. She fears this tattooed bad boy will see her secret desire to explore his crude threats and promises of rocking her perfect world. If she decides to give in to one uninhibited moment with Jesse, will she learn too late that it was all an act of vengeance or will Jesse learn that the taste of first love is sweeter than that of revenge?

Going Under is Book 1 of 2 in the Going Under Series but may be read as a stand alone. This is a second edition with new editing and added scenes.

This is a mature young adult/new adult novel and recommended for readers 16+ due to sexual content.

Assess Of Books Going Under (Going Under #1)
I'm struggling to write this review, so please bear with me while i try to put into words the whole gamut of thoughts and emotions running through my head. This is the first book that i've read by Ms. Cates and if the calibre of this story is anything to go by, it won't be the last. So Cassie is the popular-always-do-what-is-expected-of me type and Jessie is basically the rebel without a cause and to me this story was very reminiscent of Simone Elkeles's Perfect Chemistry BUT in no way is it a

I really liked this book. There were times I was laughing out loud! 2 things I loved was...-I really felt the author captured the games and thoughts of how a high school girl thinks.- It was fun to read from a boys perspective then flip to a girls. You really don't have to wonder what the other person is thinking. -oh and something happens in the book I just didnt see it coming. How? Idk. But I was like "NO!!??"The down side (nothing is ever perfect. right?) was the ending. I liked how every

Well...it's been a wild ride, but Going Under is officially released. I thank you for all your supportive words and I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it. Don't forget...Jessie isn't the kind of guy you fall in love with. He's the kind you have a little fun with. Yeah, right!!!UPDATE as of 04/02/2012:Additional Chapter Added to Going UnderI have taken your reviews to heart. Many of you loved Going Under, but wanted more of an explanation for what happened to Jessie in the last

Oh i loved this book! So cute! It was more real than the whole, 'im popular and im too good for you.'kinda thing! More unoriginal and that was cool. Why didnt i give it a 5 star rating? I just didnt like the whole epilogue thing at the end kind of ruined it for me. I would have liked to have left the rest of their lives to mystery so we could all make our own conclusions and therefore everyone could have their own idea of what might have happened and would have been content and happy with their

As far as sweet, fun, touching summer reads go, this one was really awesome! I liked that the story was told from both Claire's and Jessie's POVs.<3 They are great characters (as in, with great, authentic, absolutely lovable personalities) and they develop a super cute, believable relationship. And I love Jessie!<3 (But you can't not love him. Really. I dare you to try.;)) And I read the book in one sitting and I'm still smiling, so... Enough said already. P.S. I'm dying to read Payton's

3.5 stars.. I found this on google and I thought it was a appropriate: When you look back on this moment months from now, don't forget the one word I'm about to say to you, Claire Deveraux. Foreplay." Yep you pretty much guessed it, bad boy from the wrong side of the track meets good girl from the rich part of town. When Jessie gets to East Franklin High he is immediately hated. A- he is from Collinsville B- he has just been named the new Quarterback due to his awesomeness. This makes
