Representaion In Pursuance Of Books Long Lost (Myron Bolitar #9)

#1 New York Times bestselling author Harlan Coben’s blistering new Myron Bolitar thriller takes Myron—and his millions of fans—where they have never gone before

Myron Bolitar hasn’t heard from Terese Collins since their torrid affair ended ten years ago, so her desperate phone call from Paris catches him completely off guard. In a shattering admission, Terese reveals the tragic story behind her disappearance—her struggles to get pregnant, the greatest moment of her life when her baby was born…and the fatal accident that robbed her of it all: her marriage, her happiness and her beloved only daughter.

Now a suspect in the murder of her ex-husband in Paris, Terese has nowhere else to turn for help. Myron heeds the call. But then a startling piece of evidence turns the entire case upside down, laying bare Terese’s long-buried family secrets…and the very real possibility that her daughter may still be alive.

In grave danger from unknown assailants in a country where nothing is as it seems, Myron and Terese race to stay a step ahead of Homeland Security, Interpol, and Mossad. Soon they are working at breakneck pace, not only to learn what really happened to Terese’s long-lost little girl— but to uncover a sinister plot with shocking global implications.

Article Containing Books Long Lost (Myron Bolitar #9)
As much as I enjoy the Myron Bolitar series, and as much as I liked this entry, I felt that Long Lost had a different feel to it than Coben's other works.Myron Bolitar gets a phone call in the middle of the night from one of his old girlfriends, Terese Collins. She is calling from Paris and asking for his help. Terese shares with Myron a lifelong secret, she once had a daughter that supposedly died in a car crash years ago, but now it seems she may still be alive, after discovering her husband

Sometimes it is very difficult to put into words how good a book really is, "Long Lost" is such a book. Those of you who red Harlan Coben know how good a mystey writer he is, and he has gone to another level with this book."Long Lost" brings back one of my favorite characters, Myron Bolitar. Myron receives a call from Teresa Collins, whom he had an affair with over 10 years ago. Teresa wants him to come to Paris and assist her.Teresa turns he life, and Myrons, upside down when she explains what

Coben's really lost his thread on Myron Bolitar. The guy used to be a snarky sports agent, and the books were somewhat light and breezy and fun. Remember the days when each book featured a case set around a different professional sport? And the violence in the books, when it happened, was somewhat personal. It didn't need to be extreme because it was real, and real for the characters, and that gave it all the weight it needed. Now Coben's become more interested in writing standalone thrillers,

4.5/10This was a steaming pile of shit. It could quite easily have gone on the DNF shelf but for two reasons. 1) it was a short book and little chapters make for a quick read. 2) I don't like to stop reading books especially in a series so close to the end. Maybe it's stupidity of "glass is half full" outlook but I don't want to stop reading something on the off chance it becomes amazing at the end. However, this wasn't the case here. The thing that I've realised with this series is that the

Such awful writing! Every dialog, every encounter, every event to drive the plot forward sounds forced. The plot itself... Poor. Why have deductive or investigation skills when you have a best friend (a bad-ass killing machine and filthy rich) whose life is solely dedicated to your hopes, feelings and problems? Police is chasing you? Here comes Win in his private jet with falsified documents to get you out of the country. A group of meanies is threatening to shoot you? Here comes Win with a

Another series to add to my list! Hi Myron Bolitar and Win and Esperanza.

The protagonist in Long Lost, Myron Bolitar, breaks through the fourth wall by talking directly to the reader about themselves, and continues in this irritating, false-self-deprecating vein throughout the rest of the novel. If Myron's voice was meant to be self-deprecating, it misses the mark. If it was meant to be funny, it misses the mark. If it was meant to be sarcastic...you guessed it...it misses the mark. At best, it is jarring, irritating, and dislocationary (throwing the reader out of
