Chronicle During Books Marked in Flesh (The Others #4)

For centuries, the Others and humans have lived side by side in uneasy peace. But when humankind oversteps its bounds, the Others will have to decide how much humanity they’re willing to tolerate—both within themselves and within their community...

Since the Others allied themselves with the cassandra sangue, the fragile yet powerful human blood prophets who were being exploited by their own kind, the delicate dynamic between humans and Others changed. Some, like Simon Wolfgard, wolf shifter and leader of the Lakeside Courtyard, and blood prophet Meg Corbyn, see the new, closer companionship as beneficial—both personally and practically.

But not everyone is convinced. A group of radical humans is seeking to usurp land through a series of violent attacks on the Others. What they don’t realize is that there are older and more dangerous forces than shifters and vampires protecting the land that belongs to the Others—and those forces are willing to do whatever is necessary to protect what is theirs…

Judge Based On Books Marked in Flesh (The Others #4)
I'm so excited right now I don't know what to say!!!Yup, this book didn't disappoint! And I absolutely, absolutely loved it! And I want moreeee! The world becomes so much larger and more interesting in this book! So many new people and events and FEELINGS! At least some of the loose ends were tied in this book, so I'm so glad I read it. But there are so many possibilities! I mean, ok, some things I can guess, but I'm curious what Anne Bishop will do with this series. It was absolutely great so

This is what feels like the 100th buddy read with my exploding-fluffball-friend Simona <3This series has been full of Ups and Downs for me.I still like the first instalment best, which means that none of the following instalments has been able to sweep me off my feet as I had hoped. The first halfLet me rip of the band-aid, quick and easy: The first half of Marked in Flesh was a borefest. The plot was dissatisfying. The multiple POVs inflicted physical pain, and there were so many voices

Reviewed by: Rabid Reads.MARKED IN FLESH set out to be the defining installment in the entente between humankind and the terra indigene, and being somewhat familiar with Anne Bishops predilection for carnage, I knew full well that no cast member was going to come out on the other side unscathed. This book was astonishingly successful in its aim; however due to its very nature the format needed to be altered to incorporate more POVs and less one-on-one time which in turn led to a slight decrease

"Let's be honest here. We're all reading this to see Simon and Meg do it."The words that brought me sudden infamy on this review. And I must digress, this series is the bane of my sexual frustration. You're killing me, Bishop. I've never been teased so much in my life. I'm literally begging you for wolf sex at this rate. Fifth book guys, let's hope there is deliverance in this drought. *ahem*Anyway, this book was good, albeit I felt a bit repetitive at times with the information. The war is on.

When I read the first and the second books, I think I read them both in a week. LOL. Then, I swore to myself that when the third book came out (A YEAR AND SOMETHING AFTER I READ THOSE TWO), I would wait awhile before I got my claws on it. But what did happen? Desperate Kathe read the third book right after it was released and now what? I'M GOING TO DIE UNTIL THIS IS RELEASED. Ps: There's been a week and some hours since I haven't touched a book :( I think it's crazy me talking here.

There is just something about this series that really grabs me. Im not sure if it is the concept or the fact that it isnt afraid to make most of the human population the bad guys. I think that it is a little refreshing to take a look at the world through the eyes of something other than just the human race. While I could see why some might think that it is a little preachy on the green front I never really felt that way and love the characters and the way they tend to look at the world as not
