What you would expect from the grandfather of sword and sorcery is exactly what you get: powerfully built savage warriors contesting evil witches and cursed monsters from the beyond. Truth be told, it is quite entertaining and satisfying to see a man motivated by thirst for adventure and kingly ego, murdering the truly black-hearted. Stories where the villains are so foul that almost any amount of butchery seems acceptable to use against them. This second volume of Robert E. Howard's Conan stories contains three of the longest REH Conan stories published as well as some unpublished drafts and notes. There are also some illustrations by Gary Gianni.
