Interpretation Supposing Books The Wild Children
A wise retired teacher in my church recommended this book to me. Probably appropriate for late middle school to Jr high, kids, it is also a great read for grownups—especially onsiderin* the times we find ourselves in now, where the old America we knew and loved has been overwhelmed with Russia and its oligarchs. The book is a reminder that cold-hearted greed and cruelty can come upon any nation, and leave starving, homeless children in its wake. It happened (and,to a lesser extent, is still happening) in Russia, and it could happen here. In the end, we have heroes like Alex, who, seeing a path to safety and wholeness, has to make the choice to take it for himself, or to turn back and show others the way.

I really liked the story and how it ended. :)I had to read this book for english class. It was okay and I liked the ending, but I would have liked it to be a bit more interesting maybe only because those books arent really the kind of books I like. overall, if you're into the kind of books that go on about like poor kids travelling trying to get to a free country and what not, then you'd like this book for sure
Talk about a heart-wrenching, heart-changing story. And for ratings' sake, I should mention there was a section--about half a chapter--that I skipped because it got so scary. But I don't think there was actually anything bad in it.

For young adults, this is a really good read.
Alex's family is snatched away by the Russian secret police. He is forced on to the streets to work out his survival. He joins up with a group of misfits.
Great quote....."She had the kind of beauty that affected people's hearts and fooled their eyes."
