Lots going on in this third installment of the Unwind dystology! This book is definitely a part of a series (you can't read it out of order). Also there are too many things that are left unresolved at the end and lots of POV characters so not a ton of advancement in plot for each person - you get bits and pieces (no pun intended) and then the POV switches to someone else. I really don't like spending too much time in Nelson or Starkey's heads and would have rather stayed with Conner, Risa andReread/buddy read with some fellow BBBersWhile this is my least favorite book of the series it is still a strong 4 star read for me. I love the character development and the way even more of the history of unwinding is shown to the reader. The first read through I was a little distracted waiting for Conner and Risa to find each other again, but this read through I could sit back and really take in the story. Unsouled is the third book in the Unwind series. And probably the most forgettable.The characters I had grown to love in the first two books all come to a halting stop in this edition. The gang is all split up and everyones angry and confused. No one knows where theyre going or why theyre doing anything. They cant make a decision about anything. I was pretty annoyed with having to read SO MUCH from POVs I couldn't care less about (e.g. Nelson, Argent, Cam, Starkey), it felt at times like I was reading more from POVs I couldn't give a fuck about than from the characters I actually cared about and who are actually the main characters of the series. *3.5*Ok. I'm in love with the Unwind series in general, like the whole idea for this world is so insane and creative. I LOVE IT. However, I felt like HARDLY ANYTHING happened in this book! The whole thing was leading up to the big ZING in the last chapter, and the entire book clearly was just a set-up for the fourth book. I also felt like at times there was too much focus on characters that weren't really important (like Bam and Hayden. Also where did Argent and Nelson go? They just disappeared
4 of 5 stars----- The different perspective converging into one plot is what makes this book so special. I loved how this series managed to consistently make the readers be thrilled about the next events. There is no boring moments. You can have your own theories of what was going to happen, but you can't settle on those theories because, even though this was not exactly jaw-dropping, this can still get you on the edge of your seat.
